AI & computer vision

Put your data and camera footage to work. Forecast what is coming, see your figures in 2D or 3D, and let cameras flag dangerous situations as they happen.

Cameras and photos produce plenty of data, but it only becomes valuable once software can do something with it. I build computer vision and AI applications that turn images into usable information: from detection and classification to automated checks in a production or inspection process. With a background in GPU programming and rendering, I also know what it takes to make this run fast enough.

Sometimes the process does not fit a package, or systems work past each other. I build web applications, portals and API integrations that do exactly what your organisation needs, and automate the manual work in between. Built to last for years, with the tests and documentation that go with it. I pick the technology to fit the problem: TypeScript and Node.js, Python, Go or C++, with React where an interface is needed.

Performance engineering

Is your website or system slow? I find out what is really holding it back and make it noticeably faster, without rebuilding everything.

A slow application costs time, money and patience, and the cause is rarely where you expect it. I measure first, before changing anything: in the application, the database and the infrastructure. Then I fix the bottlenecks that actually matter, from a bad query to GPU acceleration of compute-heavy work in C++ and CUDA.

Network security

A secure network, explained without jargon. I close the open doors, from your router and Wi-Fi to passwords and two-step login.

Many security risks are not sophisticated attacks but open doors: a router on default settings, a service exposed to the internet without anyone knowing, a forgotten account with too many rights. I help you get your network and access to it in order, and explain why, in language that can be followed without an IT background. Not a formal audit or penetration test, but concrete improvements that take effect immediately.

The engineer behind Lemon Software

Lemon Software is the company of Jeffrey Lemein, a senior software engineer with over ten years of experience in production software. At KWS Seuren he is the technical owner of the platform that twenty to thirty people work in every day; before that he spent four years at Ibeo Automotive on GPU-accelerated 3D rendering and simulation in C++ and CUDA.

That combination, platforms that have to keep running and software that has to stay correct inside a fixed time budget, is where Lemon Software's approach comes from.
